Tim, W1GIG is the proud owner of this RCA ACT-150 Transmitter (circa 1937). This transmitter saw service as a remote relay for WSM as well as many other applications. Tim wrote an article which appeared in the August 1995 edition of Electric Radio (#76) featuring this transmitter's fine heritage. The original tube line up for this rig was a pair of 808 modulated by a pair of 808's yielding about 150 watts carrier out.

Here is Tim operating the ACT-150 at home in his shack. Tim is a member of the Antique Wireless Association (AWA), and can be heard many Sunday afternoons checked in the AWA Net on 3835 KHZ at 4:00 pm.
